Transit is the pause between two points. We were born and raised in an interconnected landscape, a global network that compresses distance, accelerates encounters, and circulates information without end. Yet behind this connectivity, boundaries continue to assert their lines. Boundaries that classify social identity, class, ethnicity, religion, gender, knowledge, and other entities that shape how we see and relate to one another. In the space of transit, we exist in between never fully arriving, never fully leaving . We wait, rest for a moment, while planning the next journey. The body holds the tension between the urge to move and the need to stop. This performance reads transit as an experience of young Indonesians accustomed to uncertainty, rapid shifts, and double realities. Movement emerges as a fragmented choreography that combining hesitant steps, long pauses, sudden shifts, and exhausting repetitions. Space becomes a terminal that is never permanent. At its heart, transit is also a space for reflection: a moment to look back, to weigh what has been traversed, and to glimpse possibilities ahead. A fragile moment: yet it is precisely there that we feel our bodies most fully, suspended between motion and stillness, encounter and separation, distance and closeness.
